A series of copper engraved views from The Antiquities of England and Wales first published in 1772
with later editions up until the death of Francis Grose in 1791. Each view measures about 6 x 4 inches. Beneath some of the views is a descriptive history in English. The prints offered below are in good condition.
A series of early hand coloured fashion plates for fashions in 1827, 1830, 1831 and 1832
by William Wolfe Alais
who exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1829 and 1833.
Size 6 3/4 x 8 3/4 inches.
The plates were tightly bound on the left hand side into a volume so there is some slight trimming on this side. Some of the titles beneath the plates are either totally trimmed off or partly trimmed. Some of the prints have been photographed on a black background to show the extent of this.
